3D CORAL REEFS OF KIRITIMATI
See what we see underwater - in 3D!!
Our team partners with John Burns (University of Hawaii, Gates Coral Lab) to capture 3D images of the coral reefs we study on Kiritimati. We can use these 3D images to determine coral abundance and habitat complexity - both of which are very important for supporting healthy fish populations on the reef. We are currently working to create 3D images for each of our survey regions on Kiritimati - stay tuned for more exciting 3D imagery coming soon!!
